I’m always eager to try a new brand. I was less excited when I was disappointed. I’ll be honest as usual and tell you what I like and what I don’t like. We’re all different, so you might disagree.
I tried Plus1Press. This is a company based in Montreal and I’m always happy to see brands at home.
Route 66.

There are two things that stand out in their marketing that say they’re different. First, they are environmentally friendly. They use plant ink and are fully recycled with no glue. Second, they have an extra piece, and the box says: “Let us begin with our unique center piece.

What I love: The picture on the box is clean and sharp. It does not come with a poster, so frame images are very useful. The back of the box has pictures of other puzzles in the label. Which I don’t like: The box on the top has a flip, so the lid doesn’t open. This was a minor failure because I used the top and bottom for classification.

What I love: The puzzle itself came in a brown paper bag. This is unique and different. It really strengthens their environmental message and makes an impression. If you have strong beliefs about green, this will be a brand you might like. What I don’t like: Because of thin materials, they curved easily and were about half thick compared to a Ravensburger. There were also some who were quite not cut properly and I had to separate them.

What I like: having a glimpse and when the pieces fit, I can move parts without breaking them. Which I don’t like: There’s not a lot of diversity and a lot of the same colors, a lot of them almost fit together and I have to keep doing it again. It took me days to reach the border when it usually took me an hour. It’s not funny.

What I like: the back of the game is great. A surplus will make it a challenge. Which I don’t like: Where is that special piece? I was expecting a big piece of the highlight centre. I think it can be packed separately or at least pointed out. There are a few pieces that are somewhat different, so I suppose they are those pieces, but they do not give me much to begin with and are not “a simple central piece. You’ll see them in pictures.

What I love: This brand takes us to a Canadian tour. This picture is beautiful, and if you like rich images, or travel, it can work on you.

At the end of the day, I didn’t even solve this puzzle. It was rare for me, but it also lacked a piece. If you like Canadian images and brand statements, try these. Otherwise, I’ll get over it.
